Daniel’s Journey – “What Life Is About”

Daniel’s Journey – “What Life is About” – Music Credits: “Daniel” by Elton John “Daniel’s Journey” — October 6, 1982 to February 12, 2011″ My name is Terri Knowles, I am a mother of son who was killed by drugs — I would like to share with parents my story. My son, Daniel, had a wonderful childhood, then drugs filtered into his life. Drugs kill someone everyday – they are the “devil.” It doesn’t matter if you are the best parents in the world, if you are rich, poor, or what race you are. Daniel was doing awesome in recovery and was turning his life around. It took eight years to find THE right place AND right rehab counselor. This counselor knew what Daniel needed to survive and to beat the devil (drug addiction)! But on May 2010, when his case came up, a court judge did not care to listen to the counselor and basically gave my son a death sentence. The counselor told the judge if Daniel spent ANY time in prison he would NOT survive when he came home. He spent seven weeks in prison, was released and was 18 months clean. Daniel and died 26 days later. Our family lives with this sentence 24-7. I am a mother carrying out the legacy of my son, to help other parents and hopefully save the life of one of your children. No parent should have to bury their child. Don’t take life for granted — a parents’ grief never ends, Please feel free to contact me, for any questions or reasons via email: [email protected] I would sincerely appreciate it if you would pass this You Tube link along every one you know. Thank
